Our Days Without a Car

We haven't had a rental car for almost 3 weeks, but we have been enjoying the warm days. We have had our daily swims at the Carib de Bijou, and Diana has been working on her tan, only for it to be gone in a week once we return to the states. We went into Scarborough via bus one Saturday to see their vegetable market. Men were selling crabs for the natives to make the curried crab and dumpling dish.

Goats were roaming the downtown street.

We stopped for gelato at Chaio's Caffe. It was good, but not nearly as good as the gelato in Grand Cayman.


One night we had a little visitor to our apartment. Look at him close up! He looks part alien!

Another visitor sunned himself by our entry way.

Lizards are common.

Bamboo is often used for support in construction here.

We shared a cavalli fish, fresh from the sea, one evening with our English neighbors, Derrick and Frances. The next night we had mahi-mahi with them.
