Slow Day

Today we went in search of Doubles, the breakfast meal sold by street vendors on the island. We got there too late, so instead we went to Store Bay so Diana could try curried crab and dumplings.

That was a huge disaster! The crab pieces still had the shell on them, and we had nothing to crack it with. There was about a tablespoon of crab that she managed to crack out of the crab pieces, using her fingers. The dumplings were large, chewy, and tough. Stan had a bake and shark. We then decided to find a few places that we had read about so we would know if we could get to them by bus, once the car rental was over. We also went to the mall to walk around during a downpour. We had been told that there was a lion fish in an aquarium at the dive house at the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort, an upscale resort.  We drove into the complex to look at it as well as the lion fish. They have venomous fin rays and are poisonous to divers if they touch them.

We returned to our apartment and took a swim in the pool.
